[OSEN=선미경 기자] YG Entertainment’s musicians swept top places on music charts of the year 2015. From BIGBANG to PSY, half of No.1 places on music charts for this year have been taken by YG artists.

BIGBANG carried out their comeback project “MADE” from May this year and swept No.1 places on on-line music charts and monthly charts until August. Every song BIGBANG released, including “LOSER”, “BANG BANG BANG”, “SOBER”, and “LET’S NOT FALL IN LOVE”, has dominated music charts, displaying BIGBANG’s big influence and power once again.

[YG LIFE] 2NE1 Chosen as Top 10 K-Stars to Look Forward to in 2016 in China

[동아닷컴=홍세영 기자] China chose top 10 K-stars that they look forward to in 2016.

On December 21, the Korea Consumer Forum announced the results of the survey that they had jointly conducted with People’s Daily Online. They asked Chinese people which K-star they look forward to the most in 2016 as part of their survey to choose the winner of the 2016 Korea’s First Brand Award.

The Korea Consumer Forum and People’s Daily Online gave a number of K-stars as candidates and asked Chinese consumers which K-star they look forward to the most in 2016. The survey was conducted via the website and mobile page of People’s Daily Online from November 23 to November 30. 197,233 Chinese people participated in the survey.

Kim Soo-hyun, Lee Min-ho, Kim Jong-kook, Lee Jong-suk, 2NE1, Jun Ji-hyun, Park Shin-hye, Yoo Jae Suk, BIGBANG, and miss A were chosen as the top 10.

The Korea Consumer Forum said, “We conducted this survey as Chinese people and Chinese tourists have become to trust Korean brands more and their image has been improved as a whole. So, we asked Chinese consumers which K-star they look forward to the most in 2016.”

On January 26, the Forum will announce the results of the survey they conducted asking which Korean brand was the No.1 brand in 2015.

Meanwhile, as an award that is well into its 14^th year, the Korea’s First Brand Award is given to promising brands that get the most number of votes in a nationwide survey. First launched in 2003, the Korea’s First Brand Award has become the most prominent consumer award. This year, a new category has been made: Korea’s First Brand Chosen by Chinese Consumers. A survey has been conducted on Chinese consumers, and the results will be announced on People’s Daily, one of ten biggest media outlets in the world.

[YG LIFE] SEUNGRI Has Fancy Dinner with CL & Skrillex

[일간스포츠 = 김인영 기자]SEUNGRI of BIGBANG posted a picture of him having dinner with CL of 2NE1 and the renowned DJ Skrillex.

On December 21, SEUNGRI posted a picture and wrote “Dinner with @chalincl and @skrillex in L.A ????” in the description below on his Instagram page.

In the picture, SEUNGRI, CL, and Skrillex are all wearing a friendly smile. They are dressed up looking very glamorous like the global stars they are. The picture shows that SEUNGRI is close with CL and Skrillex.

Meanwhile, BIGBANG will be attending the 30^th Golden Disk Awards, which will take place in Shenzhen, China on January 20-21, 2016.

On November 18, CJ E&M said, “BIGBANG will attend ‘2015 MAMA’ (Mnet Asian Music Awards), to present fancy performances.”

Whether BIGBANG will attend this year’s MAMA or not has been a hot issues. Last month, a news report that attendance of artists of YG Entertainment, BIGBANG’s label, at this year’s MAMA was not confirmed was released. Such speculation was caused by MAMA’s response at that time which went, “We’re still establishing plans. We’ll do our best to present best performances with artists who have stood out for this year”.
