YG’s new boy group iKON has just debuted, but they are getting a huge response from foreign progress in the run up to their debut concert “SHOWTIME”, which will be held on October 3.

According a staff member at YG Entertainment, the press of Asian countries is taking keen interest in iKON’s debut concert and making a lot of inquiries. A number of reporters from Japan, China, Vietnam, Thailand, and the Philippines are coming to Korea cover the concert.

Work at YG Entertainment is in a state of paralysis with the flood of inquiring calls. iKON has made through preparations for their first debut concert as it will be the first time performing the songs of their debut album “WELCOME BACK”. Korean press is also taking great interest in their debut concert.

iKON has attracted a lot of fans both in and out of Korea by doing survivals shows before their debut. Upon release, their debut album topped the iTunes charts in Hong Kong, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Panama, Peru, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam.

They have a debut project going on, which is rare for a rookie, and it involves releasing new songs over a period of two months. Since their debut concert will be held in such a big venue and the members have put in a lot of preparation, expectations are running high.

iKON has gained recognition as a talented group even before their debut, and they are working hard to become even better. It will be interesting to see what they will become in the years to come.
