YG Entertainment’s seven-member hiphop idol group – iKON – will be making their first TV appearance on a music chart show 20 days after their official debut.
According to a number of sources, iKON will be appearing on SBS’s Inkigayo, which will be aired live on October 4, and perform “RHYTHM TA” and “AIRPLANE”. iKON did the shooting for the pre-recorded segment in the afternoon of October 1.
iKON officially debuted on September 15 with “MY TYPE”. This will be the first time they appear on a music chart show since their official debut. As this will be their first TV show appearance after their tremendously successful debut, expectations are running high.
iKON will be performing two songs, which is rare for a rookie. iKON has already topped the Inkigayo charts without even making an appearance, and this will make their stage even more special. iKON became No.1 on the charts of MBC’s Show! Music Core on September 26 and SBS’s Inkigayo on the following day.
Fans are already wondering what kind of stage iKON will put on for their first TV appearance.
Meanwhile, on October 3, iKON will hold a concert titled “SHOWTIME” in one of the biggest concert halls in Korea, the Seoul Olympic Gymnastics Stadium. The Stadium can hold more than 10,000 people.
They will also release their debut full album, which has 12 tracks, on November 2.
