YG Entertainment announced on July 14 that they have recruited lyricist Min Yeon Jae, who is most well-known for writing the lyrics to Soyu and Junggigo‘s “Some.”
Under an exclusive contract, Min Yeon Jae will now be only writing lyrics for YG artists. Previously, he won the “Lyricist of the Year” award for “Some” at the Gaon Chart K-Pop Award that took place in January of this year.
Other than his most well-known song “Some,” he has written lyrics to songs like Ailee‘s “Don’t Touch Me,” MC the Max‘s “Wind That Blows,” and Mamamoo‘s “Mr. Ambiguous.”
He has also worked as a singer and a producer in the past. In 2013, he released several digital singles, and he has previously produced 4Men‘s “Once While Living” along with Ryu Jae Hyun.
