[ARTICLE] Fuse TV: “BIGBANG’s Bang Bang Bang Could Be One of Kpop’s Most Watched Clip by the End of 2015″


BIGBANG is turning the K-pop world into “BIGBANG’s world”, by sweeping the No.1 on the real-time chart of Korea’s major music-streaming websites and then daily charts, too.

BIGBANG’s “BANG BANG BANG” released on June 1 at midnight topped the daily chart of music-streaming websites including Melon, Bugs, Mnet, Genie, Soribada, NAVER, Daum, and Olleh Music. Their second new song “WE LIKE 2 PARTY” is also in the second place following “BANG BANG BANG”, on the chart of Melon, Bugs, Mnet, Genie, NAVER, and Olleh Music, boasting a big power on the charts.

The new songs are creating sensation overseas, too. As of June 2 at 1pm, “BANG BANG BANG” is in the first place on the chart in nine countries: Hong Kong, Macao, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam, and Indonesia, in in the 50th place in Canada and 58th place in the United States, the birthplace of pop music, to prove BIGBANG’s global popularity. “WE LIKE 2 PARTY” is in the second place on the chart of Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, and Vietnam, following “BANG BANG BANG”.  

The songs are enjoying a big popularity in China, too. The music video of “BANG BANG BANG” has surpassed total 2.8 million views, including 1.67 million on QQ Music and 1.1 million on Youku as of June 2 at 1pm. The album itself is recording 210,000 sales on China’s biggest music-streaming website QQ Music.

Along with such a keen interest in BIGBANG’s new music in and out of the country, American FUSE TV also covered BIGBANG’s new release in June by posting an article titled, “Listen to BIGBANG’s Trappy New Banger, “Bang Bang Bang”. FUSE TV extolled the fancy visual of BIGBANG members in the music video of “BANG BANG BANG”, saying, “As expected, the accompanying music video is an over-the-top affair, with the guys rocking a slew of wild looks, hairdos and fashions in a neon-tinged world.” Notably, the magazine expressed their high expectations for the music video by stating, “…we’re predicting this video to be one of K-pop’s most watched clips by the end of 2015.”

The music video of “BANG BANG BANG” released with the music has surpassed 1.2 million views within seven hours from its release, and is recording 2,289,935 views as of June 2 at 2pm, creating sensation. In the video, the members are showing a dynamic performance to the fast and powerful beat, showing off a new appeal different from that shown in the video of “LOSER” and “BAE BAE”.

Meanwhile, BIGBANG releases a single album with more than one songs on the 1 of every month until August, and complete album “MADE” will be unveiled on September 1. Along with the release of new albums, BIGBANG kicked off their world tour in Guangzhou, China, on the 30 and 31 of last month. On the 5 and 6 this month, BIGBANG will meet local fans in a concert in Beijing.
