[YG LIFE NEWS] EPIK HIGH’s San Francisco Concert Sold Out: Good Start to N. American Tour


[OSEN=정준화 기자] EPIK HIGH kicked off their 2015 NORTH AMERICAN TOUR in a huge success on May 28 (local date) as the first concert tickets in San Francisco sold out.

Their first performance washeld at Warfield Theater, where world-renown musicians like Bob Dylan, The Killers and Prince also performed. Fans lined up in an enormous queue for four hours to see YG’s trio.

Kick starting the concert with “ENCORE,” EPIK HGIH moved on to perform “FLY,”  “LIGHT IT UP,” “BURJ KHALIFA” and “COLD.”

EPIK HIGH topped hip-hop R&B chart on iTunes of American and Canada, and the fans’ enthusiasm to sing along all the songs at the concert was a living proof of their popularity in the region.

This is their first concert tour in America for the first time in 6 years. EPIK HIGH allocated a special section to talk to the fans, making three wishes come true for them. One fan asked MITRHA to say “I love you” with affection, and he did so very boldly that it made everyone laugh.

After the playful moment EPIK HIGH performed “AIR BAG” and “EYES NOSE LIPS” for a sentimental mood.

Now that they are done with the San Francisco performance, the trio will move to Los Angeles on May 30 (May 29 local date) to continue the tour in Wiltern Theater.

The tickets for the North American tour in New York, Vancouver, and Toronto were sold out soon after ticketing opened, and the tickets are selling very fast in other regions. Thanks to the enthusiastic response of the fans, the original 6 city 6 concerts ended up being 9 cities 11 concerts, with additional 3 cities and 5 concerts.

EPIK HIGH will be finished with the North American tour by mid June, and will be performing at Sogang University’s Marry Hall from July 31 to August 2, and from August 7 to 9 through a small concert titled “Now Playing.”

Tickets for “Now Playing” will be sold from 8pm through Interpark beginning from June 3.
