BIGBANG and 2NE1 are listed in the 50 awardees of “2015 YouTube Music Awards”. Notably, these two YG teams are the only K-Pop artists who received the awards, which proves their high popularity and status once again.
On the 2 this month, before the opening of the “2015 YouTube Music Awards”, YouTube uploaded the list of 50 awardees and edited music video of those artists, with remark “YouTube Music Awards have come. Be prepared to experience the music!”, on its official Twitter account (https://twitter.com/YouTube).
BIGBANG and 2NE1 are included in the list, with other super-popular global artists including Sam Smith who won four awards in this year’s Grammy Awards, Beyonce, Ariana Grande, Big Sean, Lady GaGa, Drake, and so on.
YouTube said, “The list of those 50 artists was selected based on the number of clicks and subscribers for the past six months.” Then, YouTube stated, “These artists have proven the fact that YouTube is not just a place to launch new music and meet fans around the world, but a place where artists and fans can be truly connected”.
“2015 YouTube Music Awards” is held in a unique way, different from other music awards. On the 2, the list of 50 awardees was unveiled, and on the 24, a new music video of famous artists including Charil XCX and Ed Sheeran and other rookie artists will be presented, to celebrate the awards.
